Victoria Beckham has revealed that music legend Sir Elton John inspired her to step away from the Spice Girls.
The fashion designer, 46, found fame after joining the girl band in 1994 and soon became known as Posh Spice with the five hitmakers travelling around the world as a global sensation.
But although the girls reached unthinkable career highs during their time in the band, Victoria has recalled the "life-changing" moment that spurred her on to leave the band.
The mum-of-four watched her good friend Elton perform in Las Vegas, which made her think twice about her future in the group, and subsequently decide to leave.

“Remember years ago, watching your dear friend Elton John on stage in Las Vegas. He performed 'Tiny Dancer', as if it were the first time, and you realised this was like oxygen for him,” she wrote in a letter to her future self for British Vogue.
“It was a life-changing moment – while singing and dancing was fun for you, it wasn’t your passion.
“That day, you started your quest to uncover your own dreams. It was time to step away from being a Spice Girl.”

Posh then famously launched her very own fashion label which went on to be her main career focus.
After her fashion house gained a stellar reputation among the fashion community, Victoria went on to launch her own beauty brand.
“For the first time, you were venturing out on your own, and it was terrifying. It was scary to close a chapter that defined you,” she penned.

“I know you are still reinventing yourself, taking on new challenges, and ignoring the naysayers. You always look beyond the conventional wisdom to pave your own path," she added.
In recent years, the Spice Girls reunited for their sold out tour, however instead of joining bandmates Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Mel C, Victoria cheered on from the sidelines.
