Billie Faiers has revealed that she’s finally ready to break away from her sister Sam – in her career at least.

The TOWIE star, 30, is preparing to strut her stuff on Dancing On Ice later this month, and while she’s nervous, she’s excited to get stuck into a new challenge.

Lifting the lid on the exciting opportunity, the proud mum said she felt it was time to challenge herself and further her TV career.

“I’m so excited about learning a new skill and I’ve never done anything like this before,” the blonde bombshell admitted. “I’ve never done anything on my own, I’ve always done stuff with my sister."

While Sam will surely be cheering Billie on from home, for once they will not be sharing the screen together.

Billie explained that she was ready for the challenge: “I’ve never given myself a personal challenge like this so I feel like now at this point in my career its good for me to step up and do something like this."

And Billie is also looking forward to the glamour of the show. “I’m also looking forward to the fitness challenge, the outfits and the glam.”

“I’ve never pushed myself out of my comfort zone, I’ve always done things in TV that I feel comfortable with and if something came in, I’d rather miss the opportunity than push myself.

“I think it’s an opportunity I shouldn’t miss out on, I just had to go for it and do it and hopefully I’ll do well.”

Although fellow former TOWIE star Gemma Collins stormed the show in 2019, Billie has yet to reach out to her old pal for reassurance or top tips.

Billie is keen to keep a positive mindset ahead of her debut dance on the ITV show, and due to the fact Gemma found it ‘exhausting’, she doesn’t want to have her hopes slashed.

“I haven’t reached out to her. I don’t know if I’d get from Gemma what I want to hear,” Billie explained.

“I used to see her when she was training for it and she would say it was really hard and she was exhausted, so I’m just trying to stay positive.”
