A mum-of-eight who is battling coronavirus is isolating in her bedroom while the rest of the family remain downstairs.
Marie Buchan, 38, tested positive for the deadly virus on Monday and is suffering from breathlessness, fits of coughing, a sore throat and nose bleeds.
The mum, from Selly Oak, Birmingham, has described the situation as a "complete nightmare" due to being away from her children," Birmingham Live reports.
"I feel absolutely awful. I started getting symptoms on Saturday like a sore throat and started to feel breathless but I didn't think it was Covid at first," Marie said.
"I was advised by my doctor to get a test which I did on the Monday and it proved to be positive for Covid.

"I am now isolating upstairs in my bedroom. I have gradually felt worse and worse over the last few days.
"As well as the sore throat, breathlessness and coughing fits I have had several nose bleeds which I never normally get."
Marie's eldest daughter, who is 18, has also tested positive and is isolating in her bedroom next to her mum's.
Six of Marie's children are trying to keep up with school lessons at home, while another is doing a college course.
Marie has eight children between the ages of six and 18 and lives in a four-bedroom housing association property.

"It is a complete nightmare as my children are downstairs and I can hear the youngest one crying for me but I can't risk any of them catching it," she said.
"Fortunately the older children have really stepped up to the plate and have been helping with everything. They have been bringing me food upstairs and leaving it outside my door.
"I have been told i have to isolate for 10 days which could increase to another 10 days if i am still displaying symptoms.
"I have been speaking to track and trace a lot. You are trying to remember everywhere you have been and people you have come into contact with."
Marie added: "It is just impossible at the moment to carry out home schooling. The school has rung for me but i am just not in a position at the moment to enforce any of it. The whole situation is just a nightmare at the moment."
