Dean Henderson is hopeful of securing a loan move in the January transfer window in order to boost his chances of earning a place in England's squad for the Euros.

The Man Utd No2 was included in Gareth Southgate's latest selection despite making just three appearances so far this season.

Henderson is aware he may need to see more regular action if Southgate is to pick him as one of his three goalkeeper options in the summer, and feels another stint out on loan could be beneficial.

Sheffield United have already moved on after re-signing Aaron Ramsdale, but other clubs are expressing an interest in the 23-year-old.

According to The Sun, both Leeds and Brighton are monitoring Henderson's situation with a view to a move in January.

Relegated Bournemouth are also keeping tabs, but it is unlikely Henderson will drop down to the Championship to get his football fix.

Whether Henderson is allowed to leave by United depends largely on Sergio Romero's future.

The Argentine is desperate to quit Old Trafford after slipping further down the pecking order upon Henderson's return.

Everton were keen on signing Romero in the summer but snapped up Robin Olsen instead after declining to meet United's demands.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have missed out on Jadon Sancho in the summer, but he still made some big moves in the transfer market with Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani all arriving.

But their start to the season has been a mixed bag, with a home defeat to Crystal Palace and a 6-1 thrashing by Spurs at one end of the scale, and a tremendous 2-1 win over PSG in Paris at the other.

The question now is whether they can find the right balance?

Red Devils chiefs had slapped an £8-10million asking price on Romero, 33, but are now prepared to accept just half that to offload him in January.

Romero is out of contract in the summer, so it makes little sense for United to keep him on the books if they receive a decent offer.

His exit would scupper Henderson's hopes of action elsewhere though, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would not sanction the departures of both keepers.

Meanwhile, outcast defender Marcos Rojo could also be sold in the upcoming window.

Turkish outlet Fotomac report Fenerbahce have made the 30-year-old a priority signing in January.

Rojo's contract expires in June and is able to enter negotiations with foreign clubs from the turn of the year, but United are prepared to offload him at a cut price rather than losing him for nothing.
