Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has slammed referee David Coote after he overturned his decision to give West Brom a penalty against his old club.
After a first half which saw United fail to take a number of presentable chances, West Brom thought they had the opportunity to take the lead when Conor Gallagher went down after a challenge from Bruno Fernandes and Coote awarded a penalty.
But Coote was advised to look at the incident again by VAR on the pitchside monitor and he reversed his decision claiming Fernandes touched the ball before bringing down Gallagher.
United would then go on to win the match thanks to a Fernandes penalty, which was retaken after Baggies keeper Sam Johnstone was adjudged to have come off his line on the first attempt.

"How can he go against his own decision on that?"
In his post-match comments, West Brom boss Slaven Bilic was bemused by Coote's actions.
"I'm very disappointed with the decision,” Bilic told BT Sport. “I felt like 'small West Brom'.
“All those crucial decisions went against us. I've watched it a few times and it's a clear penalty.
