Many This Morning viewers were happy yet confused on Friday morning, as usual Friday hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes presented the ITV show live from the studio.

Just days ago, it was revealed that the pair had been "axed" from their slot after 14 years, reportedly replaced.

While the pair have yet to address the claims, and didn't mention it on Friday, it's reported they will no longer host the Friday episodes – and will only replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during school holidays.

It's believed Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will replace the show favourites.

As viewers expected the new hosts on the show, they were surprised to see Ruth and Eamonn in their seats as normal.

From the most festive house in Britain, to the story of two friends reunited in a care home, they certainly had a fun-packed show.

While many welcomed Alison and Dermot becoming hosts, they had hoped it wouldn't come to the cost of losing Ruth and Eamonn.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
