A elderly woman has been charged with killing her 50-year-old son after he was found dead inside the family home with axe wounds.
His 81-year-old mum was taken to hospital with injuries she sustained in the incident, before she was later arrested in Melbourne, Australia.
She has since been interviewed and charged with the murder of her son.
The elderly woman has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.

Shocked neighbours in the Greensborough area of the city described her as a "caring mother".
One visibly upset neighbour told the Herald Sun: "They were very private people, insular.
"From what I observed, she cared for him deeply and loved him very much.
"She was very devoted to her family. He was quiet.
"Who knows what goes on behind closed doors."

Another neighbour, Paramjit Kauy, said she had never seen such a heavy police presence in the area as there was on Monday morning.
She said: "I didn't sleep last night. I have seen the woman once or twice, we would say hello to each other."
