Jordan North has made quite the splash on the new series of I'm A Celebrity, the public voting for him to take on three trials in less than a week.

Tonight will see the broadcaster, 30, take on Trap Door, squeezing himself down a tight tunnel swarming with critters.

Jordan himself admitted he feared the show's fans would cast their votes for him to take on the infamous tasks after the opening episode saw him bring up breakfast at the thought of abseiling down a cliff-face.

In Viper Vault, which the fan favourite tackled with EastEnders legend Shane Richie, Jordan was trapped underground as snakes slithered over him – two of his greatest fears rolled into one.

And in the first of the show's stomach-churning eating trials, he, along with Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard chowed down on some truly horrifying animal body parts.

His Help I Sexted My Boss co-host, William Hanson, has been watching the show and his pal keenly for the first time this year, and has even kicked off #GetBehindJordan on Twitter.

And he says that his pal headed to Gwrych Castle in a bid to confront his biggest fears, despite Jordan's insistence that he was after "fun" on the show.

"Jordan loves the programme," William exclusively told Mirror Online, "He watches it religiously, loves Ant and Dec.

"He was staggered when he was asked to do it. He was enjoying the week or two leading up to it, that was the fun bit, but that's not the programme.

"I think he is using it to confront his fears.

"Whether he'll still have those fears when he comes out, or whether they'll be worse, I don't know."

William added: "The look of horror on his face when Ant and Dec said he was going to do it, that is a slight concern. The key difference between this one and the Viper Vault is that he's not going to have anyone there on his side. It's him flying solo."

And William isn't looking forward to telling Jordan he cast his vote for him to do Trap Door.

"I have voted for Jordan," he admitted, "I felt really conflicted doing it. I felt particularly bad last night when I saw his face.

"I feel awful, I'm going to have to admit to him afterwards…"
