David Coote has been taken off VAR duties for Liverpool against Leicester in mysterious circumstances.

Andre Marriner will instead oversee the match from Stockley Park while Chris Kavanagh remains as the referee.

Instead, Coote will be the referee at Old Trafford for Manchester United's clash against West Brom on Saturday evening.

It comes after Coote came under fire for his role in last month's tempestuous Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
