Beverley Callard has been accused of 'cheating' on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after viewers believe she has exposed her claims that she is vegan.

The 63-year-old Coronation Street actress had claimed that she turned vegan in March this year, which meant that she was spared cow's teats and deer testicles in a gross eating Bushtucker Trial.

The day after she had joined Vernon Kay and Jordan North in the disgusting Fright of the Round Table trial, where she had to eat fermented plums and tofu, viewers believe she has proved that she is not truly vegan.

There have been claims that she only switched to being vegan in a deliberate attempt to avoid the worst of the eating trials.

One incensed viewer wrote: "Ummmmm Beverley Callard isn’t vegan. She just ate butter. #imacelebrity"

Beverley had previously been accused of tucking into rabbit and eel in camp meals, though there is no proof that she actually ate the meat of these dishes.

A source has indicated that she is being supplied an alternative meal by producers, which is in line with what has happened before if a campmate has a special dietary requirement, mainly due to allergies.

For those who felt that she cheated in the eating trial, crew members have said that two of them fell ill while trying the food that she ate.
