Ruth Langsford apologised to Loose Women viewers this morning as the ITV daytime show continued to go off air in the middle of an interview.

The 60-year-old had been joined Brenda Edwards, Janet Street-Porter and Stacey Solomon as they spoke to former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rhianoff and partner Ben Cohen.

Kristina and Ben, who share daughter Milena together, opened up about their time on the BBC dancing show and their relationship.

The panel were also left cooing over Milena, four, as she showed off her moves to Frozen's Let It Go.

But Ruth addressed some viewers' frustrations that the screen kept going black during the interview.

She interjected, saying: "Can I just say – Brenda wants to come in with a question – can I just say before she does that, apparently we've been dropping in and out and off air, I'm being told.

"So if that's happening in your area and you've missed it, it's a technical difficulty which we are looking into.

"Hopefully we're back on now."

This comes after a heartbreaking weekend for Ruth after it was revealed that she and husband Eamonn Holmes would be axed from Friday's line-up.

Instead, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will be taking over at the end of the week.

Ruth and Eamonn will still be covering for Holly and Phil during the holidays, but are said to be saddened by ITV's decision.
