The Egyptian FA have confirmed that Mohamed Salah has again tested positive for coronavirus.
The Liverpool striker initially tested positive on Friday night, with both first and secondary swabs confirming he has contracted Covid-19.
While Salah continues not to show symptoms, his latest test, undertaken on Wednesday, once more returned a positive result.
A statement confirmed: "Today, Mohamed Salah, the star of the national team and Liverpool English club, conducted a new swab to detect the COVID-19 virus, but the result was positive."
Salah, who has already been ruled out of Liverpool's meeting with Leicester City on Sunday, will remain in self-isolation.
Liverpool had hoped that, with a negative test, Salah would be allowed to return to Merseyside and begin training on Monday.

It's been an extremely interesting start to the season for Jurgen Klopp's men.
They got their title defence off to a shaky start as they edged out a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before going on to conceded seven in a hammering by Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk's season was ended by injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton, leaving the title favourites looking far less secure at the back – especially with Alisson's injury worries too.
But there's no slowing down in what is going to be a busy campaign – with Klopp ensuring his men continue at full pace as they bid for more title glory.

Mohamed Salah filmed partying at brother's wedding days before positive Covid-19 test
Egyptian FA chief Amr El Ganainy previously claimed Salah won't leave Egypt until he has recovered.
When Salah is eventually allowed to return to the UK, he must convince government officials that he has remained in an international football travel corridor, which would allow him to relax strict rules saying anyone returning from abroad into the UK must self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
The government has indicated that players returning from international duty will be exempt from that rule, if they have remained in a closed bubble with their national team.
However, Salah will be under close scrutiny, having first attended his brother Nasr’s wedding before linking up with the Pharoahs.
Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has also tested positive.
