New York is renowned for offering up pretty magical Christmas experiences, but one hotel in the Big Apple has just seriously upped the ante with a new festive package.

We're talking an ice skating session with views of the city's iconic skyline, a private performance of the Nutcracker ballet, a four-course Christmas feast and heaps more festive treats.

The luxurious Mark Hotel has pulled out all the stops with its ' Penthouse Holiday Spectacular' package, which will kick off from the 1st December. However, it doesn't come cheap. At all.

We're talking a price tag that starts from $175,000 which is approximately £131,000. For a two-day stay.

Unsurprisingly, for that price, there is an incredible festive break that awaits those who do have the cash to splash (we want to meet them, and convince them to invite us along).

Not only is the hotel itself super swanky – it boasts an Upper East Side location and seriously luxurious interiors – but the holiday is filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Always wanted to see the Nutcracker Ballet? The ballerinas will come and give you a private performance in the Penthouse's Grand Room. No need to worry about someone tall sitting in front of you, or mad rushes to try and get tickets for the best seats.

Then there's the private ice skating session on the hotel's rooftop terrace rink overlooking the Manhattan skyline, the after hours shopping spree at Bergdorf Goodman so you can pick up gifts without facing other shoppers, a four-course meal whipped up by a Michelin-star chef, a private screening of Christmas films with a fireplace for cosiness and heaps of snacks, and even your own chocolate cart!

Basically, it's like someone thought up the festive break of dreams – and then just made it incredibly luxurious.

Christmas fireplace, tree, decorations, lights, mantel, hearth.

Guests will be staying in the hotel Penthouse of course, not to mention they will also have access to their own driver, nanny, butler and massage therapist, so there's no need to lift a finger throughout the trip.

Even if you did have a casual £132,000 to spend on a festive break, Brits still won't be able to enjoy the festive bonanza this year.

At the time of writing, the Foreign Office advises Brits against all travel to the USA, not to mention that the country has closed its borders to British nationals who have been in the UK and a number of other destinations within the last 14 days.
