Jordan North admitted he had never been so terrified in his life during I'm a Celebrity 's first Bushtucker Trial voted for by the public.

The Radio 1 presenter did the horrific Viper Vault with Shane Richie, who ended up comforting Jordan.

Jordan already threw up while preparing to abseil down a cliff on the first day, and he revealed the snake infested challenge was actually even more scary for him.

'This is my biggest fear, I’d rather do cliffs than this," he said.

Talking in the Telegraph, Giovanna Fletcher was worried for her campmate as she said: "Poor Jordan, he’s so full of fear but I’m glad he’s not on his own, he has Shane."

Victoria Derbyshire had high hopes as she said: "He was sick before the abseil…he did it, and I just think he’ll do this as well."

As Jordan and Shane joined hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly for the trial, Ant asked why they thought they had been chosen by the public.

Shane joked: "I’ve got a big family in Ireland, they’ll have emptied the account and I think Coronation Street fans."

Dec asked: "Do you not think it has anything to do with puking up on the top of a cliff?"

"Oh yeah!" replied Jordan as he laughed.

Dec started to explain the Trial to them, that they’d both be locked inside one of two vaults that were built into the castle floor. Inside each vault would be 5 locked safes each containing a star.

Ant added that each of the safes were numbered (1-10) and they would require a code to open them. The code to the first safe was with them in the vault and they would have to work together as a team to open all the safes.

Jordan said he could not do it at first

They had 10 minutes to find 10 stars, each star is worth a meal for camp and only the stars in their bag at the end of the Trial would count.

Ant reminded them that they wouldn’t be alone in the vaults and if anyone said ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’ this would stop the Trial for their partner.

As Jordan admitted he had never been so scared, Shane gave him a hug and some words of encouragement.

One viewer tweeted: "I can't be the only people who genuinely feels bad for jordan #ImACeleb".

"I am very angry at the UK right now voting Jordan North to do this trial. I genuinely feel for the lad. I'll send you a food parcel Jordan! " wrote another.

"Some people are just fun to laugh at but Jordan is someone I genuinely feel sorry for…" wrote another.
