The little plastic stool that comes in a takeaway pizza box has baffled foodies for years.
While some people have admitted to using it as "a table for a Barbie", others thought it was used to keep the pizza in one piece "when mad bikers drive like they're fricking Formula 1 drivers".
But a man who bravely claims to know what the piece of plastic is really for has caused quite the stir, reports Daily Star.
TikTok user sebweb67 uploaded a video demonstrating the nifty trick on his margarita pizza.
The caption on the video, which has been viewed more than 880,000 times, reads: "How old were you when you realised this little thing that comes with your pizza is actually there to stop you touching other slices."
Quite a good idea really

He removes the piece of plastic from the centre of the pizza and stabs it into the middle of one slice.
Whilst holding the stool, he effortlessly pulls up the piece next to it.
Using the pizza saver in this way means he doesn't get grease on his fingers, and he doesn't touch everybody else's food in the process – genius.

But the majority of viewers said that wasn't what the stool was originally made for.
One wrote: "It's to stop the lid hitting the topping."
Another said: "Lol I always thought it was a table for a Barbie."
A third commented: "That's not what it's for but ok."
But the alternative use shocked a few of his followers, as one added: "What" with mind blown emojis.
Another person said: "Age: Now."
And one admitted: "I was today years old. I thought it helped keep the pieces together when the mad bikers drive like they're fricking Formula 1 drivers."
