Apple fans around the world can finally get their hands on the iPhone 12 Pro today, following months of anticipation.

The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 were announced during Apple’s Time Flies event earlier this month, and have now gone on sale.

Both smartphones feature 5G and are powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip – the fastest chip in a smartphone.

However, the big difference between the two smartphones is the camera set-up.

While the iPhone 12 features a dual rear-lens camera, the iPhone 12 Pro takes things up a notch with an impressive triple lens camera.

We think the iPhone 12 Pro could be the perfect smartphone for Instagram lovers – here’s why.

1. Triple lens camera

The iPhone 12 Pro features a triple lens rear camera, comprising a wide lens, an ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a telephoto lens.

This makes the smartphone ideal for taking a range of photos for Instagram, whether you’re a fan of wide-angle landscapes or detailed portraits.

If you love snapping photos while you’re out in the evening, you’ll be happy to hear that several improvements have been made to Night Mode.

The feature, which allows you to take detailed photos in dark lighting, has now been expanded to the TrueDepth and Ultra Wide cameras, allowing for even brighter images.

If you have a tripod, the Night Mode Time-lapse could be the perfect thing to up your Instagram game, delivering longer exposure times for sharper videos, better light trails, and smoother exposure in low-light scenarios.

Finally, Apple has introduced the option for Night Mode portraits, rending a stunning bokeh effect, even in low light.

Shooting videos for your Instagram just got much easier, thanks to HDR video with Dolby Vision.

The iPhone 12 Pro offers the highest quality video in a smartphone, and is the first to enable HDR video with Dolby Vision, up to 60 fps.

Apple explained: “Dolby Vision takes advantage of the Super Retina XDR display for amazing contrast during capture and video playback, and users can share their videos with support for AirPlay up to 4K Dolby Vision to external devices.”

4. 5G

One of the most exciting new features on the iPhone 12 range is 5G, which can make it much quicker and easier to upload Instagram photos and videos on the go.

Apple explained: “5G on iPhone boasts improved speeds for faster downloads and uploads, higher quality video streaming, more responsive gaming, real-time interactivity in apps, FaceTime in high definition, and much more.
