Tyrrell Hatton reckons a white hoodie would go best with a Green Jacket on Masters Sunday.
England's No.1 made a name as a clothes horse as well as a stylish front runner when he won the BMW PGA at Wentworth last month wearing the controversial adidas top.
Reaction has split the game with Wearside Golf Club in Sunderland reminding members that hoodies are banned.
But before teeing up in at America's most exclusive golf course at Augusta National Country Club on Thursday, the in-form world No.9 said: “If it is cold enough, I will wear it. Will I ask permission? No. I will just wear it. There have been plenty of guys that have worn hoodies in tournaments before me so I don't see why it would be an issue. I think it looks smart anyway so it should be fine.

“I am surprised it has become such a talked about thing. I think it is a shame to see some people or some golf courses that sent out emails to members and they put a hoodie down in the same category as ripped jeans and nobody would wear ripped jeans on a golf course anyway. And I think it looks pretty smart. We are wearing smart trousers each day and you are pairing it with a hoodie, I think it looks good. I don't understand why people in golf clubs are so against it. It is certainly not an offensive item.
“It is only made in three colours – black, navy and white. I think anything will look good with a Green Jacket. But probably the white hoodie would go best with it. We'll see if I wear it on Sunday.”
Hatton finished the Houston Open last Sunday with a 65 to finish tied seventh to enter the final Major of the season in good shape.
"I felt like my short game was really good last week," said the Marlow-based star. "And to have that added confidence there and the competitive rounds we have had recently have been good. I feel pretty comfortable so I am hoping I am finally going to have a decent week at the Masters."
