There are high hopes that the Byker Grove cast will be getting back together, 30 years after the children’s drama first aired.
It would also mark three decades of Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s working relationship, that blossomed from teen actors into the biggest TV presenting duo of their generation.
Ant and Dec fans on Twitter have revealed that film crews were at The Mitre in Newcastle on Sunday, talking to former cast members of the popular kids show.

The Mitre was the used as the location of the youth club in Byker Grove, where a lot of the action took place, when it ran from 1989 to 2006.
Some thirty years after it started, it looks like the old gang will be getting back together again, with hopes that Ant and Dec will be involved as well.
Fan account All Ant And Dec tweeted: "Yesterday there were a couple of original Byker Grove cast members filming for channel 5 at the Mitre, I reckon it could be for the Ant and Dec 30 year documentary."

This reunion would come seven years after the last time the group got together and Ant has previously spoken about his love for the show, where he met Dec when they were just 13 years old.
Back in 2012, members of the cast, including Donna Air, had met on a boat Newcastle’s Quayside, for a special floating get together on the River Tyne.
Dec enjoyed the reminiscing with "special people", while Ant told the Evening Chronicle in the city that, "there’s definitely a closeness of cast members."

He has also recognised how being on the show had given him the stepping stone to go on to be one of the most celebrated presenters on television, even if his past 12 months haven’t been his proudest.
Ant said at the time: "We owe a lot to Byker Grove. It makes me incredibly proud and grateful that we were given the opportunity."
Fans of the show will now keep their fingers crossed for seeing the Byker gang back together on TV for one last hurrah.
