Piers Morgan has slammed "hopeless" Ellen Degeneres after announcing Good Morning Britain will have a special episode in LA.
The outspoken presenter believes the host is "hopeless" at her job, and wants to see Ricky Gervais hosting the awards show after a controversial stint hosting the Golden Globes.
But this came after the announcement that the show would be broadcasting live from the red carpet, with Spice Girl Mel B, Perez Hilton and actress Jane Seymour helping with the coverage, as well as showbiz reporter Ross King.
Susanna Reid pointed out that there was no host at the show, to which Piers replied: "That’s great, I’m ready.

As Susanna pointed out that Ellen would be a great option, Ricky replied: "Oh don’t be ridiculous, she is a hopeless, hopeless host. Sycophantic…"
Susanna was totally shocked, pointing out the host as ran the awards ceremony three times, before the whole debate was suddenly stopped by Richard Arnold, who tried to protest his role staying at home by stealing one of the golden Oscar statuettes.
