Greatest Dancer producers ‘draft in Strictly Come Dancing pros to boost ratings’

The producers of The Greatest Dancer have "drafted in Strictly Come Dancing pros to help boost the show’s ratings," which the show itself has denied.

The BBC show has been fighting an ongoing war with its ITV rival The Voice for the Saturday night ratings, with The Voice winning every week so far.

So it has been reported that the show is now drafting in some help from another BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing , to boost its pro dancer power for the upcoming live shows.

But a spokesperson for the show has denied these claims, saying the bokings for other Strictly dancers was made a long time ago.

A TV source told The Sun: "The Greatest Dancer has been panne by viewers and BBC bosses are banking on bringing in the Strictly professionals to help increase the hype and cross-pollinate the audience.

"Strictly is the biggest show on TV and bosses at the BBC know that. Calls have gone out to all the agents of the professionals to see who is interested in dancing on the show in the coming weeks."

This claim has been completely denied by the show with a spokesperson saying the dancers, along with other special guests, have already been secured.

A The Greatest Dancer spokesperson said: “It has always been the case that Strictly dancers would perform on one of our live shows, along with lots of other special guests which we can’t wait for viewers to see.”

Week on week, the ratings for the show have been below their ITV rival, The Voice, which is even more difficult for the BBC since the singing conest moved from the channel to its rival channel.
