Melody Thornton has ruled out finding love on Dancing On Ice after her Pussycat Doll pal Ashley Roberts fell for a Strictly professional dancer.
The singer says she’ll never fall for anyone at work again after a bad experience in a previous relationship.
Melody, 34, said she is happy that Ashley has found love with Giovanni Pernice, 28, but she won’t be following her lead.
“I’ve dated someone I worked with before,” she said.
“I made that mistake later in my career and said to myself this is why you don’t do it.
“Not only would I not want to be working with someone that I’m dating, when I’m at work I need that respect.
Melody says she won’t be hooking up with her Dancing On Ice partner Alexander or any other colleagues any time soon

“I think sometimes the line gets crossed. That would be a no-no for me.”
The show has already claimed its first relationship, with Love Island’s Wes Nelson , 20, and Megan Barton-Hanson, 24, announcing their split yesterday.
Megan admitted to feeling jealous about Wes getting up close and personal with his partner, German skater Vanessa Bauer, 22.
Melody says the wife of her Dancing On Ice pro Alexander Demetriou, 28, shouldn’t worry.
“His relationship with his wife is a good example for what I think what everyone should strive for,” said Melody.

“They understand each other, trust each other. She knows that he’s coming to work and that’s it.”
The singer lined up in the Pussycat Dolls alongside TV favourites Nicole Scherzinger, 40, Ashley Roberts, 37, and Kimberly Wyatt, 36.
US-born Melody said she could never be with anyone who accused her of cheating.
“Any man I would go for has to be confident. If I’m skating with a man who’s beautiful, they would be cool with it.
“One thing I don’t tolerate is accusation and questioning.
“You either know me and know what I’m capable of or you don’t. If it’s the latter, you can go.”

Melody, who has been single for a year, says her music comes first even though she’s under pressure from her dad to settle down. She said: “One of the things I have said to an ex is I didn’t spend my entire life learning how to use this voice to then meet you and just not bother.
“I am an artist and music makes me feel fulfilled and happy.
“My dad is more eager than my mum. My mum couldn’t be more pleased with my independence.” Tonight Melody will be the first celeb to take on the terrifying headbanger stunt.

“I’m upside down more than once in this routine,” she said.
“I struggled last week but I feel so much better this time.” And she is not worried about criticism from the judges.
Melody said: “I respect them enough to know they’re there to help. If anything rubs me the wrong way I left it roll off like water on a duck’s back.”
