It’s all kicking off on the cobbles, with a load of jailbirds moving into a halfway house on Coronation Street .
The storyline, which is currently being filmed, could see murderers, thieves and rapists relocating to the area once they’ve served their time behind bars.
Many of the older locals fear it’s going to turn the place into the Wild West – and the Rovers will be a saloon for troublemakers.
We certainly can’t imagine the news going down well with the likes of Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) and Ken Barlow (Bill Roache).
The new storyline could certainly ruffle resident Ken Barlow’s feathers

And it’s going to give local bobby Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, a lot more work.
A Corrie source said: “The prospect of a house full of ex-cons leaves many of the residents feeling pretty terrified.
“They will be worried about their homes, their kids and their livelihoods. Craig hasn’t been a policeman for very long – but he would certainly have his work cut out for him with a house full of jailbirds living on the street.”
That said, many of our soap favourites have done time themselves, so the new arrivals might settle in pretty quickly.

Oh, and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has just nicked £80,000 off his own gran.
The source added: “There are still quite a few of the locals that have abided by the law all their lives and are up in arms about the plans.
“There’s some funny stuff coming up about it all. What can they do to stop it?”
