Dancing on Ice’s Melody Thornton will be the first contestant this series to attempt the terrifying headbanger.
The nerve-jangling move will see Melody being swung around by the ankles by her professional dancer partner Alexander Demetriou – with her head coming dangerously close to the ice.
It is regarded as the competition’s most dangerous stunt and has only been attempted by a small number of brave celebrities in the past.
But as the ITV competition heats up, Melody is wanting to pull out all the stops to avoid elimination.
Alexander lifted Melody up by her ankles as they practised on the ice
The former Pussycat Doll singer was spotted in training this week working on the move wearing a crash helmet for safety.
On last year’s series the headbanger was first attempted by Jake Quickenden, who went on to win the show.
While David Seaman dropped his partner Pam O’Connor while rehearsing the move back in 2006.
After hitting her face on the ice, Pam was left needing stitches to her chin.
