Dancing on Ice may only be two shows old but there has been so much going on off the ice, it feels like the drama has been here for weeks.
Truth be told, there has been an undercurrent of instability with some of the celebrities involved in off-the-ice antics before the ITV show returned to our screens.
While Gemma Collins looks to make the skating competition all about ‘The GC’, Love Island’s Wes Nelson has found that his preparation for the competition has been undermined by his partner Megan Barton-Hanson’s ‘war of words’ with his professional skate partner, Vanessa Bauer.

While a ‘war of words’ would suggest that there has been plenty of back and forth between the pair but it has been a mainly one-way spat, with 24-year-old Megan increasingly getting her knickers in a twist with the skating champion.
The green-eyed monster had come out early when Megan realised how close her lycra-clad boyfriend was going to get to his Dancing On Ice partner but it really kicked off when Vanessa dumped her boyfriend on the eve of the live shows.
‘Tactical break up’
It blew up on the eve of the live shows, following weeks of training, when Vanessa split from her boyfriend.
Megan saw this as the first step towards muscling in on her man and posted an angry Instagram statement.

She wrote: "Love that you decide to announce your breakup with your boyfriend on the night of your 1st performance with my boyfriend!
"You’ve never reached out to me once or invited me to watch you train, it pained you to introduce yourself to me last night you didn’t even look me in the eye LOL.
"Hope the tactical breakup got your the headlines you wanted babe."

Where’s my invite?
Megan believes that it was a common courtesy that she was invited to meet her boyfriend’s skate partner.
When asked if Wes had invited her, she replied: "He has multiple times but I feel like, as a woman, she should have reached out to me.
"In Strictly they all meet the partners, if you’re spending three months with someone, 10 hours a day, it would be natural to say, ‘Why don’t you invite Meg down?’

The insecurities begin
With the invitation not forthcoming, the thoughts in Megan’s head are not ones that will keep her from going paranoid.
Still seething about not being invited to rehearsals by Vanessa, Megan bitched: "It’s human nature, I’m not deeply insecure but to watch your boyfriend in romantic dances in lycra, it would have gone a long way just to say, ‘Hi Meg, how’re you?’"

This year is better than ever!
Vanessa, for her part, decided to claim that being with Wes is going to give her the best Dancing On Ice experience ever.
"I’m so over the moon that we have actually started the show, the second series, and its going to be such a good one," she trilled.
"I already feel so much more comfortable around everybody. Everything is so much better than last year."
It’s a lack of respect
Former stripper Megan has refused to back down, but insists she’s not jealous.
"I’m not going to backtrack. I was riled up, I let my passion and anger get the better of me but there’s no manual," she raged to The Sun.
"I don’t want to be a possessive girlfriend. I want her to reach out to me.
"I’ve had no communication with her for the past three months. I’m not jealous; it is just a lack of respect. I was pushed over the edge."

The other woman
Megan isn’t going to let it lie and she is not coping with the practice and endless rehearsals.
Feeling that she is being frozen out by Vanessa, Megan said: "There’s only so much I can put up with. It’s not ideal to have your boyfriend spend 12 hours a day with another woman."

Buckle up, Megan, Jealousy is brutal
Relationship expert April Masini believes the 24-year-old needs to temper her feelings or consider moving on for good
"Buckle up, Megan! Jealousy is brutal, and she is in a tough spot because she feels that her romantic relationship is threatened by her boyfriend’s professional relationship with his beautiful work and ice partner, Vanessa Bauer.
"In her defense, most women don’t have to see their romantic partners having to act attracted to other beauties for a living — unless of course you’re dating someone in the entertainment industry."
