Riverdale has returned with a dramatic episode No Exit.
The episode begins with the town once more in lockdown, with Cheryl and Toni robbing homes and having romps in the houses they break into.
Betty is housing the former inmates of the Sisters of Quiet Mercy at her home, while she works with former Mayor McCoy to bring down Hiram Lodge by forcing the Sisters to testify.
Jughead tries to steer the Serpents away from trouble, but one of them is selling Fizzle Rock drugs for Hiram.
Veronica focuses on making her speakeasy a success, with Reggie by her side.
Meanwhile, Archie continues his hero’s journey into Canada, working in a national park outpost – when he’s attacked by a bear!
It was a dramatic week, so here’s what happened to each main character.

So Betty tried to get the kids off of Fizzle Rocks and safe from Hiram, but they started to question her stories of being the Griffin Queen.
Alice tried to convince Betty that Edgar Evernever and the Farm could help, with sister Polly and Evelyn Evernever even showing up to take the former inmates away.
Betty manages to stop them and focus on getting McCoy to get the Sisters to testify, which makes strides when Betty gets proof that the Sisters were expelled from the church – meaning religion cannot be used to keep them silent.
Sadly for Betty, Alice called Edgar to collect the inmates and take them to the Farm while she was out.
McCoy then told Betty that someone had paid the Sisters’ bail – Hiram.
Betty raced to their old hospital and found the Sisters all dead in their old Gargoyle King room.
How will she stop Hiram now?
Jug, meanwhile, had to deal with keeping the Serpents out of trouble.
His friend Fangs, however, was revealed to be selling Fizzle Rocks for Hiram Lodge and his Gargoyle gang, in order to pay for helping his sick mother.
Before learning this Jughead promised to expel whoever had been selling it to the Serpents, but upon learning the truth agrees to keep Fangs’ secret.
When faced with returning a priceless artifact that was stolen from the Lodge home, Jug confronts Cheryl and Toni for stealing it and gets it back from them but expels them nonetheless.
Cheryl points out Fangs’ misdemeanours, prompting Jug to have to get rid of his friend.
Meanwhile, FP continues to support his son but is keen to play a more active role in the gang again.

Veronica continued to run Le Bon Nuit to great success, with Josie singing at the club.
However, the Gargoyle Gang and Hiram want payment for her business to keep running without their harassment – which causes Josie to quit after she is threatened and Reggie is attacked.
Hiram strikes out when he realises that his daughter is cooking the books to avoid giving him his requested amount and tasks her with getting the priceless stolen artifact back – which she does with Hiram’s help.
The speakeasy manages to stay open, but with Josie gone, Veronica does the singing.
Afterward, having been by each other’s side throughout the last few months, Veronica and Reggie share a kiss!
After Archie is attacked by a bear in the National Park he is working at, he returns to his cabin and treats his serious wounds (topless, naturally).
Once resting, Archie falls into a series of fever dreams.
In one dream, Archie is faced with the dead from his past, in another, he kills Hiram Lodge (who is referred to as both the Man in Black and the Gargoyle King), he grapples with the Black Hood to protect Fred, before having conversations with Betty, Jug and Veronica.
Finally, Archie finds himself in his old bedroom, standing over himself sleeping. Fred pleads with him not to do what he is about to do, but Archie says he has to, before battering himself to death in the bed.
Park rangers arrived at the cabin back in the real world, where Archie is found seemingly lifeless on his bed.
Archie can’t be dead…can he?
