David Platt is devastated in Friday’s episodes of Coronation Street as Audrey Roberts delivers some sad news.
First up, Gary Windass breaks it to Audrey Roberts that the dry rot in he home will cost thousands to fix, so the distraught woman realises she will have to sell the salon.
Later, Audrey summons Clauia snd suggests she might like to buy her share of the business, an opportunity at which Claudia jumps, but when David returns he is furious.
He loses his temper in a huge way and tells Claudia she can stick the job, causing major problems as he showers them all with products.

Later on, he shows Audrey an empty premises on Victoria Street and announced he and Nick are going to open a barber’s shop of their own.
Audrey is stunned, as well as Claudia and Maria, who are all sticking with the salon.
Also tonight, Steve McDonald announces he has changed his mind about babies, and gives Tracy an ovulation test kit, which horrifies her.
Later, she finds out from Beth Tinker that Daniel Osborne is keeping the news of Bertie’s health from his wife, Sinead, and she vows to make things right.

Tracy then muses about having another baby, thinking it could be a good idea, but Mary points out she should talk to Amy first.
She and Steve then start listing pros and cons of whether another baby is the right decision, but Amy walks in and interrupts them.
Amy is not impressed, making clear she thinks it is a terrible idea.
Elsewhere, Daniel brings Sinead in to the premature baby unit to meet Bertie, and she is overcome with emotion as she looks at her tiny baby boy.
David and Nick reveal their plans to Audrey

Finally, Kate Connor keeps on going with wedding plans for her and Rana, but Rana thinks she should wait until they know whether Johnny Connor will escape jail.
Kate brushes this off, saying she’s certain he will not be sent down.
Later, after hearing Rana moan about how Kate can’t afford the wedding dress of her dreams, Mary suggest Carla could make it at cost.
