Coronation Street’s Sinead Tinker might not survive the week after she collapses after giving birth to a tiny baby boy in tonight’s episode.
The young mum, who is currently battling cervical cancer and put off life-saving chemotherapy to let her unborn child survive in the womb, won’t even be allowed to meet her baby son when he’s born by c-section tonight.
In a sneak peek of this evening’s episode, actress Katie McGlynn revealed how Sinead will have a medical emergency minutes after her little boy is delivered.
The spoiler clip shows Sinead looking pale and ill as she lies flat in her hospital bed.

Sinead will have a medical emergency in tonight’s episode
"How are you doing, Sinead?" one of the nurses asks as her baby is cut free.
"I don’t know," she moans, as husband Daniel Osbourne stands by her side.
"OK we’re almost there. And congratulations – you’ve got a gorgeous baby boy," the nurse tells her, lifting the bloodied baby away from his mum.
"Can I hold him?" Sinead begs.
"I’m sorry Sinead, he is very small. We’re going to have to get him to neo-natal as soon as possible."
Their baby son is born by c-section
The baby is whisked away to be weighed and cleaned, as Daniel praises his brave wife.
"You did it. I am so proud of you," he tells her.
But then disaster strikes when Sinead suddenly loses consciousness.
"Daniel…" she tries to say before dramatically collasping.
"What’s happening?" terrified Daniel demands of the medical staff.
Terrified Daniel has no idea what’s wrong with his wife
The nurse tries to hurry him away, telling him: "I’m sorry, we really need to attend to your wife."
"No I don’t want to leave, I made a promise to her not to leave," he cries. "What’s wrong with her?"
The clip was shown on Monday’s Loose Women, where actress Katie revealed she still doesn’t know what will happen to Sinead in the long-term.
"No, I don’t know. And I quite like that because it makes it more real," she told the panel.
"All I know is it’s a long-running story."
Katie is contracted until the end of the year, and even Corrie boss Ian MacLeod has admitted he hasn’t made up his mind about killing off her character.
