The Greatest Dancer fans confused AGAIN – this time over judges’ outfits

The Greatest Dancer confused viewers for a second week running as the judges wore the same outfits as last week.

The new show, Simon Cowell’s first BBC production, left many baffled as it debuted last week.

And it continued to leave viewers bemusedtonight when judges Cheryl, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison wore the clothes as last week.

One tweeted: "Wait all the auditions were filmed on the same day? So it’s got the same awful audience as last time that can’t see talent? #Thegreatestdancer."

While another commented: "How disappointing they are wearing the same clothes from last week Cheryl looks like an Italian dessert #TheGreatestDancer."

A third remarked: "Are the dance coaches wearing the same outfits as last week? #TheGreatestDancer."

This comes after viewers struggled to warm to the concept of the new show as they tried to understand what was going on.

Various acts had to perform in a dance studio behind a mirror while the judges watched on.

But rather than the judges voting them through, it was up to the audience to make the final decision as to whether they would go through to the next round.

The process has already sparked frustration for Cheryl over the audiences "wrong decisions".

She said: "One of the most memorable acts was a locker and popper.

"It’s a shame because despite his amazing technique, I don’t think the performance resonated with the audience. It was frustrating because all the Dance Captains thought it was a really strong performance, but the audience didn’t press their buttons.

"The mirror didn’t open and that was one moment when I was like, come on guys press your buttons, seriously you don’t know what we’re losing out on here.

But she accepted that it very much comes with the territory.

    Who is the receptionist?

"The great thing about The Greatest Dancer is that the audience hold the power," Cheryl adds.

"The auditionee will come into the room and they will be facing what looks like a mirror. They will audition to the mirror but behind the mirror will be us three Dance Captains and the audience too.

"They will perform and if the audience likes them and 75 per cent press ‘yes’ on their keypads, it lights up the room and the mirrors open to reveal the audience."
