There is a major surprise on Coronation Street on Monday when the tables are turned on Duncan Radfield.
The conman may have fooled the police and got poor Sally Metcalfe arrested, but it looks like he will finally get his comeuppance.
Sophie pays a visit to Duncan in hospital, who is critically ill following a car accident, after discovering step dad Tim Metcalfe was to blame.
Stunned Sophie gets more than she bargained for when she spots his supposedly dead wife May.
She acts quickly and pretends that Duncan has been moved to another hospital, offering to drive May there.
Sophie discovers that May is alive
Sophie tells Tim that she has May in her car and they can use her to bargain for Sally’s freedom.
Determined Tim heads to the hospital on a mission and confronts Duncan with their discovery.
He shows Duncan a picture of May and suggests that he complies with his demands.
Gina tracks down May
Resolute Duncan refuses to be blackmailed and sticks to his original story.
There’s more bad news when May does a runner while Sophie takes a phone call.
Luckily, Gina comes to the rescue and manages to track down Duncan’s wife.
Will May comply?
She manages to stop her just as she is about to head off on a tram.
Gina grabs her and pleads with her to tell the truth for Sally and for her own daughter’s sake.
Will May comply and help get Sally free?
