When the clever contestants on Countdown tell Rachel Riley if they want a vowel or a consonant, everyone is secretly thinking the same thing – please be a rude word.
Most of the time they’re just left with a random bunch of letters to work with.
But every now and again it happens and it never fails to make the presenters, contestants and viewers at home laugh.
And now Rachel has brought all those amazing moments together and shared her favourite unfortunate words from the last ten years – and they really are brilliant.

Rachel joined Countdown in 2008 straight after graduating from Oxford when she was just 22, taking over from Carol Vorderman.
The presenting gig led to her appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 where she met her partner Pasha Kovalev.
