Emmerdale fans are rejoicing after Vanessa Woodfield’s fate was revealed.
Her life had hung in the balance after she was stabbed by Lachlan White’s dad Donny Cairn in a vicious revenge attack against the Dingles.
As the episode opened, doctors said Vanessa had picked up another internal bleed and that they needed to prepare her for theatre immediately.
And as she was being wheeled towards the operating room, police turned up to speak to her girlfriend Charity Dingle, to question her about an assault on Donny.
She may have made matters worse for herself by admitting she hit him.
Heartbroken Charity sat by Vanessa’s bedside, talking to her and begging her to pull through.
