Game of Thrones season 8 feels like “six movies” says HBO boss

Game of Thrones is edging ever closer to its final run of episodes and now HBO have offered some more teasers for us.

HBO CEO Robert Plelper spoke to Variety about the upcoming episodes and gave a great comment that is sure to provide more hype.

“It’s a spectacle. [David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] have done six movies.

"The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie,’…They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar."

And this was Plelper’s reaction despite not seeing the absolute final product.

"I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”

So we should expect more outstanding television on the way.

The final season will pick up from where the seventh run ended, with the Night King and his army of White Walkers passing through the Wall with plans to wipe out life as we know it across Westeros.

In addition, Jon Snow has bent the knee and aligned himself with new lover Queen Daenerys Targaryen, not knowing that she is in fact his aunt and his real name is Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to Westeros.
