Emmerdale’s Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, has revealed major "twists and turns" to befall the characters.
The star, who has been in the show since the 1996, will see his character go through a great deal of torment over the coming weeks after Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in the soap, returned to the Dales on Friday.
Mandy will cause Marlon some real problems, and it may also be that his best mate, Paddy Kirk, will struggle with her arrival as she threatens to ruin relationships wherever she goes.
Mark told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show: "She’s a breath of fresh air – I love her. Me, her and Dominic [Brunt] who plays Paddy, we were thick as thieves 22 years ago."

"I can tell you, the bits I’ve shot with her are revelatory, with lots of twists and turns in it. And all thanks to Mandy, god damn it.
"I can’t say too much because there have been a lot of assumptions about why [Mandy] is returning.
“There’s too much speculation online!"

But he said it will not just be Mandy causing problems, but Marlon’s new wife Jessie’s children, as her two sons cause a load of trouble in the Dales, causing a great deal of hurt for the newlyweds.
Ellis Chapman, Jessie’s youngest child, caused issues when he arrived, but now Billy Fletcher, her jailbird eldest, is going to cause some even worse problems after he "tortured" Aaron Dingle in prison.
He looks like he is trying to make amends, however it doesn’t seem likely this will happen as even his own brother, Ellis, reckons he is making up his kind and happy demeanour.
