AJ Pritchard made a shock appearance on today’s Lorraine to surprise Lauren Steadman.
The Strictly Come Dancing star was reunited with his celebrity partner for the first time since being brutally attacked in his hometown on Boxing Day.
AJ and his brother Curtis were set upon by eight yobs in the middle of the dancefloor Nantwich club Nakatcha.
After hugging Lauren, AJ thanked the make-up team on Lorraine for doing a "good job" hiding his bruises.
Brave AJ revealed he was recovering well but there was a worrying blow for Strictly fans.

AJ said he would have to "think twice" before letting anyone, including fans, approach him.
After joking that Lauren could be his security, AJ said: "It’s a sad situation, but we’re both better now.
"Now I’ll be thinking twice before somebody approaches me."

AJ bravely opened up on the bloody nightclub attack that left him and his brother Curtis in hospital.
Fellow pro-dancer Curtis was knocked unconscious and suffered a suspected broken nose, blurred vision, a split lip and knee injury and now faces at least five weeks out of dancing.
Revealing how he is doing, AJ said: "He’s okay. He’s had surgery on his knee, he’s back into physio. It’s shaken up the family, that’s for sure.
"He literally threw himself in front of me to protect me, obviously in doing so took the full force of it he was violently kicked and punched, knocked out. And me trying to get him out of the scenario."

Lauren was full of praise for the brothers
AJ said the attack was "senseless violence", adding: "That’s what’s scary. And it’s in my hometown town. 10 minutes down the road. Everyone knows me there."
Lauren and AJ will be dancing together on the live tour and will be back in the training room next week.
On the brothers, the paralympian said: "They are two of the loveliest kindest boys I’ve eve met, such a beautiful family. I think wrong place wrong time maybe."

AJ called his brother his "real life Superman" after saying he saved him from the pack of nightclub attackers.
Posting a picture of the pair on social media, along with a Superman cutout, AJ said: "With my real life superMAN – closes 2018 on a SUPER Positive note.
"Thank you for all the love & support over the past few days. Thank you to each & everyone of the thousands of messages we have received.
"Yes it is a vile situation, but honestly the love has been overwhelming."
He went on: "My brother is my BEST friend by choice @CurtisPritchard … Happy New Year to everyone… It’s has been a Positive 2018 & will be a fantastic 2019…"
