Stranger Things FINALLY confirms Season 3 air date but it is still months away

Fans of cult Netflix series Stranger Things have been frothing at the mouth for details of the hotly anticipated their season.

And now the streaming giant has finally revealed exactly when fans can see Winona Ryder and Eleven back on screens as the new release date has been unveiled.

Unfortunately it is a bit of a wait, however, as the third series won’t be available to stream in full until July 4.

The date is, of course, Independence Day in America – with many fans taking to social media to declare that the US national holiday should be renamed in honour of the Netflix series.

Stranger Things FINALLY confirms Season 3 air date but it is still months away

Fans still have to wait seven months for the next season of Stranger Things

“Stranger Things season 3 is starting on July 4th!!! From now on, July 4th is no longer Independence Day, it’s National Stranger Things Day,” one excited fan declared on Twitter.

Details of the upcoming plot of the third season are still thin on the ground – with the titles of the eight episodes offering little insight.

The series will kick off with an episode called ‘Suzie, Do You Copy?’ while other episodes are titled The Mall Rate, The Case of the Missing Lifeguard, The Sauna Test, The Source, The Birthday, The Bite, and The Battle of Starcourt.

Last fans saw, the main characters – Mike Wheeler, Eleven, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson and Lucas Sinclair (played by Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin) – were enjoying a school ball.

However a giant shadow monster appeared to be watching them from a parallel universe – suggesting the group of youngsters will continue to be tested by paranormal monsters.

The third season is one episode shorter than the second season – while the show is expected to last for only one or possibly two further seasons.
