Luther viewers are feeling too scared to get on public transport after watching a horrific murder in Monday night’s series opener.
A poor woman was brutally stabbed to death after being left alone on the top deck of a night bus.
She fell asleep on the bus, which slowly started to empty, but didn’t realise she was by herself until it was too late.
The sadistic killer, who was being chased by Luther, suddenly appeared at the back of the bus wearing a clown mask.
He slowly crawled along the floor of the bus before standing up and repeatedly stabbing the innocent victim from behind.

The terrifying attack was witnessed by a screaming woman on another bus that passed by.
A forensics team were called to the scene and Luther was shown disgusting pictures of the crime scene.
The woman’s bloodied outstretched hand could be seen along with some nasty cuts to her head.

She didn’t see him coming
It was also revealed that the brave bus driver had tried to intervene but had his throat slit.
Some have claimed this was even worse than the notorious serial killer under the bed scenes from the third series.
Although it is not expected to stop viewers tuning in again tonight in hordes.
A woman on another bus watched the carnage unfold
Terrified Luther viewers took to Twitter after watching the scary scenes.
One viewer said: "Thanks #Luther couldn’t sleep as kept picturing THAT night bus scene, now feeling jumpy on an empty train even though is broad daylight but will definitely be watching again tonight !!"
Another added: "Honestly speaking, that bus scene gives me nightmares. General rule of safety, if you sit at the back of the bus, your throat will be less likely to be slit by someone from behind you"
A third said: "Was left wondering if it was just the cup of tea I had before bed that woke me in the early hours or something more sinister! Thanks @bbcluther for giving me early hours paranoia and making me too scared to look under the bed. The bus scene!"
*Luther continues tonight on BBC One at 9pm
