The aim of the game on Love Island is for pairs to get on so well that they couple up, and even have the joy of leaving the island together and giving it a go on the outside.
But one of the best things to watch tends to be when the islanders’ claws come out as they try their best to stop people nabbing their partners before the dreaded recouplings.
There have been some absolute corkers in the recent series of the show, as girls and guys have fought for their partners and against those who might "mug them off."
But which were the best fights in the show so far?
Series 1 – Jon Clark vs Hannah Elizabeth
Hannah Elizabeth on Series 1
- Zara McDermott reveals Love Island secrets and how she was picked for the show
While these two ended up leaving the villa as a couple, and were even voted as the Power Couple at one point, it was not plain sailing at all for the pair, especially when Jon suspected Hannah of being inappropriate.
The lads got the chance to go to Magaluf with Calum Best and party it up, and Hannah was worried maybe something had gone on, while Jon was concerned Hannah had also been inappropriate by flashing her boobs at someone.
As Hannah was sorting out her hair, she started shouting at one another, as Hannah ordered him to "talk to a few scruffs in Magaluf" if he wanted to.
Jon stormed off down the stairs
Jon then stormed away, frustrated Hannah was making so much of their discussion, but he had already said in the Beach Hut: "As a boyfriend, when you see something like that, it’s going to piss any man off…
"I don’t mind her getting her t*ts out when I’m there, not when I’m not there… That geezer looking at them, that’s what pissed me off."
Needless to say, the pair didn’t last too long on the outside.
Series 2 – Kady McDermott and Malia Arkian
Malia shouting at Zara Holland during the explosive fight

Haters brand them as fake
Things went VERY wrong when Kady tried to make up with her beau Scott Thomas’ new girl during the second series.
Scott had started looking into coupling up with new girl Malia, hoping they could get off to a flying start when she entered the villa.
Kady wanted to try and make her feel welcome, so sat next to her on her first night to try and get to know her.
But things went very wrong when she accidentally spilled her drink on Malia’s foot, and Malia stormed off, believing it to be an intentional way to undermine her.
From there, it got far worse when security had to physically hold Malia back as she tried to attack Kady over the spillage, meaning security guards had to keep them apart, and Malia was eventually removed from the show.
Series 3 – Montana Brown and Olivia Attwood
Olivia and Montana’s spat
Montana was not happy when she felt Olivia had been confrontational outside, in front of everyone.
As Montana tried to tell Olivia she felt this way, Olivia was not impressed and thoroughly disagreed, and then everyone started to stand around and watch as the pair argued and fought back at one another in a violent brawl in the bedroom.
Olivia wanted to know how Montana could think she had been confrontational, and ended up screaming in her face before Marcel Somerville stepped in and tried to stop the pair from arguing.
Liv stormed off and Marcel then tried to stop the argument, until she then started shouting at him, saying: "You don’t know the f***ing backstory!"
Series 3 – Sam Gowland and Chris Hughes
Sam and Chris squaring up
- Caroline Flack shares sweet teenage throwback pic of her hugging ‘dadda’
Sam and Olivia had been getting in pretty well over their time in Love Island, but Chris was interested in making the moves on her, but didn’t want to go behind Sam’s back.
Despite this, Sam was pretty convinced Chris was doing something he was not happy with, and fought back while chris tried to tell him how innocent his efforts were.
The pair were having a very unfriendly chat, and immediately the other boys tried to stop them from gouging their eyes out, with Kem Cetinay suggesting they sit down.
The lads kept the pair apart
But things escalated quickly as Sam moved towards Chris, and the other lads jumped in to try and keep them apart.
Luckily, they succeeded, and Sam was sent away.
Series 4 – Rosie Williams and Adam Collard
Rosie and Adam fighting in Series 4
- Megan Barton Hanson labels Wes Nelson a ‘little s***’ during double piercing ahead of Dancing on Ice launch
This was one of the most famous fights of this year’s season, with Rosie and Adam’s discussion being called "gaslighting" by a woman’s charity.
Rosie had got in pretty deep with Adam, a man who had already left other girls for her, until he decided he quite liked the look of new girl Zara McDermott.
The Welsh firecracker was absolutely livid about this and tried to explain how she felt, and ended up crying throughout their discussion.
Adam was ‘smirking’ as Rosie cried
Adam came under fire as he listened and watched on, but was clearly smirking at her while she tearfully told him how bruised he had left her.
Series 4 – Ellie Brown and Georgia Steele
Georgia stormed off from the others
- Caroline Flack sets sights on Broadway after split from Andrew Brady
One of the big controversies of Series Four came when Georgia went on a date with Jack Fowler, and kissed him, despite his being coupled up with her pal Laura Anderson.
She had suggested that the snog was all him, and she’d not been part of it at all, causing a huge rift in the house as Laura was left with no idea who to believe.
But fireworks started when Ellie took against Georgia for her behaviour, saying she was only saying she was "loyal" rather than actually showing it in her actions.
Ellie screamed at her villa-mate
Georgia shouted at her, as did Ellie, until Ellie really put a full stop to the fight when she branded Georgia an "ugly c***."
Fingers crossed the fifth series will be as explosive!
