Emmerdale’s Vanessa Woodfield will be left for dead after a brutal stabbing.
The much-loved vet confronts a mysterious hooded figure who is trying to burn down The Woolpack and presumably everyone inside.
The attacker stares up at the pub before picking up a petrol can and splashing it around the bins.
Mortified Vanessa, who has moved into The Woolpack with Charity, storms over to stop the criminal in his tracks.
However, she is left fighting for her life when he stabs her and makes a quick getaway in her car.

To make matters even worse, the perpetrator is unaware that there is a passenger in the back of the car.
He fails to notice that terrified young Johnny is strapped into the back seat.
Wounded Vanessa is powerless to do anything as her son is kidnapped and driven out of the village.
Will Vanessa survive the attack?
Poor Vanessa is left bleeding out on the street with no one around to help.
And the villagers inside the pub are still in danger as flames and smoke billow from the back of the Woolpack.
Will Vanessa survive? Will Johnny be returned home? And will The Woolpack burn to the ground?
