Actor Richard revealed that Johnny wouldn’t be able to cope with prison and that there is a moment where things turn very dark.
He said: "Johnny wouldn’t cope well in prison, not from what he says. He’s not designed for prison. It would be really difficult. You’d sit there with all that stuff in your head. He says he couldn’t cope and says he ‘would do what happened to Aidan’.
"It’s a split second decision. It’s not thought through. I can’t imagine him letting Jenny take the rap in the condition she’s in. It’s old-fashioned honourable."
He also revealed that Johnny and Jenny could lose the pub over the accident.

"It absolutely puts the pub at risk," he said. "There’s a lot going on here we could both be taken out of the frame. I’ve got some good strong women who could run that pub though. Liz! No, the Connors will pull a pint for me."
Richard also revealed that Liz could seek revenge against him and Jenny after what has happened.
"She’s been in a hit and run and is also a woman scorned," he said. "She’s got a lot of reasons to hate Johnny. I don’t think him getting the benefit of her letting him off would change his feelings for Liz because he’s deeply fond of her. They’re friends but it’s all gone wrong.
"There is no chance for them getting together at the moment."
