- Kate was seen purchasing “trolley-loads of pictures, children’s books and artist materials,” according to a source via The Sun.
Kate Middleton’s impromptu shopping trip to a British discount store before Christmas caught the world’s attention. And now it’s also been revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge used a super sweet nickname for her little daughter, Princess Charlotte, as they both shopped in The Range.
According to a fellow shopper, via the Daily Mail, Kate apparently referred to Charlotte as “poppet” during the trip. Allegedly, Princess Charlotte was sitting on the floor of the store when her mom sweetly said, “Get up, Poppet,” so that they could continue shopping.

The Sun also revealed that Kate declined to take a selfie with a fan, but was extremely polite about it.
On Christmas morning, Kate was seen arriving at the royal family’s Christmas Day church service in Sandringham, alongside Meghan Markle, Prince William, and Prince Harry.
