Christmas Day wouldn’t be the same without unwrapping yet another pair of socks with the LIVE Christmas Day Service on TV in the background.

The kids can be kept busy with movie after movie from The Gruffalo to Elf whilst there’s lots of Christmas specials from our favourite shows including Bake Off and Strictly Come Dancing .

The Snowman is on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to make sure you don’t miss it and The Queen’s Speech will air on both ITV and BBC. So what else can we expect to show on arguably the biggest day of the year?

The Snowman airs on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

The old tale follows a boy named James who builds a snowman who comes to life at midnight. The half-hour animated television film has been a staple movie to watch during the festive period.

The Queen makes her annual ten minute speech from the Throne in the House of Lords. It is written by the government and is recorded a few days before it is aired at 3pm on Christmas Day.
