Killing Eve season 2: Brutal first look teases Villanelle’s bloody escape

Assassin Villanelle is covered in blood in the very first photos released for the second season of Killing Eve.

The brutal new images from the gripping hit BBC America crime-drama also show MI5 officer Eve Polastri, played by Sandra Oh, sitting in a bathtub looking utterly horrified.

The series, co-written and executive produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, follows a cat-and-mouse tale with Eve trying to hunt down killer Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer).

At the end of the last season viewers watched as Eve stabbed Villanelle after their passionate romp on the bed.

However killer Villanelle managed to escape – and viewers will discover what happened to her.

The new spoiler pictures show Villanelle bleeding heavily from her wound, which she covers up with a large jacket in the street.

Another shows Eve joined by boss Carolyn Martens, played by Fiona Shaw, who is head of the Russia Section at MI5.

It was confirmed earlier this month that filming had finished for the second season.

This comes after the show became a huge hit after its series aired in the UK and US.
