Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard has opened up about a slapstick-style upcoming scene that left her feeling "vulnerable and embarrassed" .
Her character Liz McDonald is set to reunite once again with ex Mike Thornberry, played by Louis Emerick, who she later meets at the Bistro for a date.
However she stands up friends Eileen and Sean in order to do so and lies by saying that she has a cold.
But she’s forced to duck underneath a table when she sees Eileen come in.

- Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard was ‘sceptical’ about Liz’s fake daughter plot
"It’s hysterical. I said ‘It’s got to be an iconic Liz shoe, it’s got to be really good’ so costume, I don’t know where they found them, found this red and black leopard skin shoes," Beverley said. "I’ve got these enormous fishnet tights on, you know the really big diamonds, and so you just see this leg sticking out from under the table.
"But of course in reality, I’ve got this hideous lycra dress on and I’ve got Beverley’s hideous casual check shirt covering me cos I felt so vulnerable and embarrassed, and I’m under this table sticking my leg out.
"I’m literally going ‘Are we checking that then, can I come out now or are we going for another take?’ And I’m sure Sue kept f***ing it up on purpose just so I had to stay under the table a bit longer!"

Beverley also spoke about no longer filming scenes in The Rovers – which she said she was "quite pleased" about.
"I only got sacked yesterday but I was thinking ‘Yay?’, I was honestly. Because the set, they’ve put LEDs in now and the set is very draining," she said. "So for Beverley it’s great cos I love working in The Medical Centre with Louisa, who plays Moira, as well."
But she added: "But I think Liz thinks she will be back in The Rover’s at some point. Have you see The Rover’s living room on TV? What the hell is that all about? But I think Liz would buy it back at some point and you know the panelling they’ve got, she’d paint it burgundy and she’d have lycra curtains or something wouldn’t she.
"It’s got to look like a backstreet pub, hasn’t it? So I think Liz thinks she will get it back at some point."
