- Former president Barack Obama is featured in the final release in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamildrops” series—a number of songs relating to the musical Hamilton, which aim to raise money for several nonprofit organizations.
- The latest track is a gospel version of “One Last Time” from the Hamilton soundtrack, dubbed the 44 Remix, as Obama is the 44th President of the United States.
- Aptly, Obama delivers George Washington’s farewell address in the track, which also features Miranda, original Hamilton cast member Christopher Jackson, and gospel musician BeBe Winans.
Barack Obama is back. On Friday, Lin-Manuel Miranda released a new version of his hit song, “One More Time” from the musical Hamilton, featuring none other than the 44th President of the United States.
The remix is part of the “Hamildrops” series which, according to The New York Times, will raise “money for several nonprofits.” The cleverly titled “One Last Time (44 Remix)” is described as “a gospel reworking” of the track, featuring none other than Obama reading key parts of George Washington’s farewell address over some light music.
Unable to contain his excitement after the song’s release, Miranda shared a photo of Obama in the recording studio:

I think we can all agree that just hearing Obama’s voice is a serious blessing. Plus, as this project brings together one of the world’s favorite musicals with one of the greatest living humans, the track is an instant winner.
