The show features a unique format whereby the coaches sit with their backs to the auditionee while they perform. The idea is that they are judged purely on their voice rather than their overall look – like the X Factor.
If the coaches like what they hear, they hit the red button in front of them and their chair turns round so they can see the hopeful.
Once the audition is finished the performer chooses which coach they want as theirs – if more than one has turned round.
Once they are through, they go to the battle phase, then the knockouts and onto the live shows.
What is the prize?
The winner gets a £100,000 prize and a record deal with Republic Records.
