Piers Morgan has been caught tweeting Pamela Anderson live on air during breaking political news.
The nation was stunned when the Tories officially triggered a leadership challenge to Theresa May.
The Good Morning Britain presenter announced that the Prime Minister will face a no confidence vote from 6pm tonight in a historic showdown with her own MPs.
However, Piers seemed far more interested in playing with his phone than the possible move towards a full-blown leadership contest just days before Christmas.
While ITV political editor Robert Peston was on the phone, viewers spotted Piers tapping away on his mobile.

Some speculated that he was texting someone about the Prime Minister, while others thought he was looking for news on the no confidence vote.
It soon transpired that Piers was actually tweeting Pamela Anderson during the breaking news.
He was responding to her tweet, where she stated: "I understand it’s not easy to accept me as I am. I stir pots unconventionally and will continue to do so."
Backing Pammy, cheeky Piers said: "I love you just the way you are Pamela – keep stirring those pots."

Furious Good Morning Britain viewers took to Twitter to slam Piers for playing on his mobile.
One viewer said: "Get off your phone and listen to the answers being given to your questions!! How rude!!"
"#gmb can’t belive #piersmorgan is on his phone? get a f***ing laptop," added another.
A third said: "Very rude to tweet when @robertpeston was talking @piersmorgan"
"Oh you were tweeting, i thought you were placing a bet on May going lol," joked a fourth.

Today’s shock move leaves her fighting for her political survival at the height of talks with the EU – and ramps up the odds of plunging Britain into a chaotic No Deal Brexit.
Piers did offer his services to the country, making a massive U-turn after applying to be Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff.
He said: "A bigger job has become available. I may have to serve my own country."
