Lorraine Kelly did not look happy after her show was bumped off air for an extended edition of Good Morning Britain.
The Tories officially triggered a leadership challenge to Theresa May, who will now face a no confidence vote from 6pm tonight in a historic showdown with her own MPs.
GMB remained on air to wait for the Prime Minister to make a speech to the nation on the steps of 10 Downing Street.
This meant that Lorraine faced an agonising wait until nearly halfway through her alloted time, with her interviews replaced mostly by a shot of a Christmas tree.
Piers Morgan joked that she would be "erupting with rage" by the time she graced our screens – and in a shock twist he was actually spot on.

The Good Morning Britain host said: "Lorraine Kelly will be on very imminently. We’re waiting for the Prime Minister to come out."
Later on, he continued: "Lorraine is waiting very patiently in another part of this building. Probably gnawing her knuckles in fury.
Digging the knife in, he added: "Her air time has been given to a Christmas tree.
"Lorraine will be like a coiled cobra. Erupting with rage at 9 O’clock when this is over with."

It turned out that Piers’ prediction wasn’t far from reality as Lorraine did seem seething.
She eventually made it on air at 8:54am, meaning nearly half of her alloted time had been and gone.
After Piers handed over, scowling Lorraine said: "Thank you…finally"
Some viewers took to Twitter to call for Lorraine to get more air time.
One fan said: "Hope @lorraine is going to get a longer slot now for this over run of @GMB because of this May stuff!"
"Best thing about #Lorraine, no politics. So put it on. Theresa May will not say anything of interest," added another.
However, some viewers were pleased that her show was given a smaller slot on air.
"Keep it up Theresa, the longer we have to wait for your speech, the less time we have to endure Lorraine Kelly," said one viewer.
Another added: "Lorraine off air one good thing about today"
