Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard has slammed Liz McDonald’s controversial ‘affair’ storyline.
The popular actress, 61, confessed that she hated the decision for Liz to sleep with married Johnny Connor.
Bev insisted that, although her character often makes wrong decisions, she would never do that to another woman.
The Corrie star, who has been on the cobbles for 30 years, also admitted that she is "disgusted" by some of Liz’s bold outfits.
The "horrific" costumes have left Beverley fearing to leave her dressing room on certain days.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said: "I have to tell you, when they first gave me the scripts and Liz slept with Johnny I was like no, no I don’t want to do this.
"Because Liz wouldn’t do that to another woman, I don’t think. I don’t think she would have slept with a married man. But I have no say in that.
"Sometimes, more often than not, you get scripts and you love them and think ‘wow this is amazing’.Occasionally you think ‘I don’t think she would do that’."
Bev is protective over her character
Beverley admitted she was very protective over her character and particularly her interactions with son Steve McDonald.
The actress added: "She always makes wrong decisions but I just felt she wouldn’t do the to another woman."
Beverley revealed she has absolutely no say in the direction of her character’s story arcs.
She is not a fan of Liz’s outfits
She confessed she doesn’t actually watch Corrie anymore, despite loving all the soaps, because "it’s torture watching yourself".
When asked if she had a say on her outfits, Bev said: "No, otherwise I would look like Michelle Pfeiffer and would wear designed clothes as opposed to what I’m made to wear.
"They are disgusting. Sometimes I go in the dressing room and look and think I dare not set foot outside of this dressing room. They are horrific."
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
