There was a treat for fans of Scottish comedian Billy Connolly, who made a surprise appearance on TV, while battling his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
The 76-year-old comic idol appeared on The One Show this evening and viewers were in raptures.
It is the first time that he has appeared on television since Billy revealed that he was fighting the illness.
Speaking to Susan Calman, Billy spoke candidly about his life and how he has dealt with becoming a celebrated artist, as well as a famous comedian.

Looking radiant with his famed goaty beard and long hair now completely snow white, Billy said that kindness was one life’s great qualities and suggested it was something that should be embraced more often.

It is no shock that viewers were ecstatic at seeing the funny man back on their screens.
As Twitter was filled with love for Billy, he was described as, "a treasure," and an, "idol."

Susan Calman was praised for her interview and there were calls for the pair to talk further, as viewers enjoyed the chemistry between the two comedians.

It has been quite a start to the week for The One Show, as this interview came the day after presenter Alex Jones announced that she was pregnant.
As the show came to an end on Monday, she told viewers that she hadn’t, "been on the mince pies," and said, "there is a little baby, look!"
This will be her second child with husband Charlie Thomson, after she gave birth to Teddy earlier in the year.
