It’s a fan favourite for a reboot, but it doesn’t look like new episodes of Friends will be popping up on your television screens any time soon.
Over the summer, the show’s former Producer, Kevin S. Bright revealed various secrets about the sitcom – including that there had been official talks about a reunion.
Alas nothing came of them.
But now one of the show’s original stars, Jennifer Aniston has opened up about why Friends hasn’t been given the revival treatment – and she says it’s all because of "the boys".

The 49-year-old recently appeared on The Late, Late Show with James Corden to promote her new Netflix movie, Dumplin’.
While there, the actress was asked about the possibility of playing Rachel Green again.
She responded to the question, saying: "Listen, the girls always say we would love to do it again, and the boys are a little less excited about it for some reason – I don’t know.
"And so, we’ve decided that we’ll just do like a remake of The Golden Girls in 40 years."

Jennifer was then asked which Golden Girl she’d want to portray out of Rose, Blanche, Dorothy or Sophia – but she had other ideas.

The audience absolutely loved the idea – as did country star Dolly Parton, who was also a special guest on The Late, Late Show that same night.

Jennifer and Dolly were also shocked to learn just how much people still love Friends, despite it ending in 2004.
Host James Corden couldn’t help but tell them all about the $100 million (£78m) deal Netflix recently signed to keep the show on their streaming platform throughout 2019.
Last week outraged fans spotted that the show was due to leave Netflix on January 1 and in a panic many people threatened to cancel their subscriptions if the company didn’t provide them with their fix of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe.
Thankfully the company managed to retain the rights to the sitcom and all’s well that ends well.
